  • Ha Noi
Film program at Hanoi Cinematheque at the night of December 1. Cinematheque will screen three films that address families and HIV. One is Lua'story produced by Binh Dinh Broadcasting and Television Agency in April 2006, followed by discussions with the makers and their counterparts of the 05-06 center. The second film is Why is there no moon during the daytime?, an intimate glimpse into the lives of a Vietnamese couple ostracized by their family and community as a result of contracting HIV. The film highlights the double standards of morality that women face in a male-dominated society.  The director and HIV infected women from the Hanoi Sunflower Support group will discuss their collaboration. The feature of the night is Bear Cub, a sexy, funny Spanish film by firector Albaladejo that tackles pretty hairy subjects--and not just the unshaven members of the gay bear scene.
